Key Responsibilities
- Accompany patients on outdoor activities and recreational events
- Assist with personal care duties such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
- Supply and empty bedpans, and collect patient specimens
- Take patients’ vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist in transporting patients between care facilities or within hospitals via wheelchair or stretcher
- Make beds, maintain cleanliness of patient rooms, and serve meal trays
- Administer first aid in emergency situations
- Handle patient-related documentation, including delivering reports and specimens between departments
Work Environment
Setting: Home care and visiting care agency, rural areas, nursing homes, and hospitals
Worksite: On-site work is required, with no remote options available
Relocation: Willingness to relocate may be necessary
Requirements
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience
Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience
Certificates: First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
