In line with Freie Universität Berlin’s commitment to fostering global research collaboration, professors affiliated with the university are encouraged to apply for test scholarships aimed at attracting prospective international PhD students. These scholarships are administered through the Center for International Cooperation and are designed to facilitate the recruitment of talented individuals from around the world.
The scholarship package includes a monthly stipend of 1,300 Euros, extendable up to a maximum of three months, along with a travel allowance. Applications for funding must be initiated by professors currently associated with Freie Universität Berlin.
To apply, interested professors are required to submit the application form along with the curriculum vitae of the prospective PhD candidate and a detailed working program outlining the candidate’s proposed activities during their tenure at Freie Universität.
Upon completion of the project, successful applicants are obligated to furnish a project report to the Center for International Cooperation within six weeks.
This initiative underscores Freie Universität Berlin’s commitment to promoting diversity and excellence in its academic community by providing opportunities for talented international scholars to engage in cutting-edge research endeavors.
