Responsibilities and Duties
As a Registered Nurse with Nurse Next Door, you will:
- Perform nursing tasks such as medication administration, wound care, head-to-toe assessments, vital signs, pain assessment, liaising with physicians, and diabetic management.
- Implement the Happier Aging Philosophy by enabling seniors to live at home doing what they love.
- Follow the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
- Ensure the safety needs of the client and properly use medical equipment.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse.
- Provide assistance with transfers, ambulation, and exercises.
- Accurately complete records and documentation.
- Deliver services within the city of Mississauga.
Requirements
To qualify for this role, you must have:
- A valid CNO license.
- Nursing experience (an asset).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages are an asset).
- A Background or Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search (updated every 5 years for continued employment).
- A negative TB Screen (updated every 5 years for continued employment).
- COVID-19 vaccination confirmation or a medical exemption letter.
- A valid driver’s license.
