UNICEF Youth Foresight Fellowship for Visionaries and Changemakers 2025.

UNICEF is looking for young visionaries and changemakers who are between 15  and 25 years old, driven to transform the education space, and advocate for the rights and well-being of children—both today and for future generations.

The UNICEF Youth Foresight Fellowship is a transformative program designed to empower young individuals aged 15 to 25 who are passionate about education, research, youth engagement, and advocacy. Spanning from January to September 2025, this fellowship offers participants the opportunity to collaborate with UNICEF in shaping the future of education and child rights.

Fellows are expected to commit 7 to 10 hours per week, during which they will engage in foresight research, analyze global trends, and lead projects that amplify youth voices in policy and decision-making processes. This hands-on experience is designed to enhance their skills in child rights advocacy and strategic thinking.

The UNICEF Youth Foresight Fellowship is designed to provide young leaders with a platform to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of child rights and education globally. Through this fellowship, participants gain valuable insights into emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in areas such as child protection, inclusive education, and youth empowerment.

Fellows are not only expected to participate in research and advocacy efforts but also to develop their leadership skills, collaboration abilities, and critical thinking through hands-on projects. By engaging in foresight research, they learn how to anticipate future challenges and shape solutions that reflect the needs and aspirations of children and youth. This process not only builds their professional capacity but also instills a deeper understanding of the importance of sustainable, impactful change.

The program also emphasizes inclusivity, welcoming participants from diverse backgrounds and regions. This diversity enriches the fellowship experience by offering a wide range of perspectives, fostering a more comprehensive understanding of global child rights issues. Additionally, the network created through the fellowship connects young leaders with mentors, industry experts, and other changemakers, broadening their horizons and opening doors for future collaborations and opportunities.

Through active participation in discussions, workshops, and events, fellows contribute to shaping policies and influencing decision-making processes at both local and global levels. They play a critical role in advocating for equitable education and the protection of children’s rights, ensuring that their voices are heard in the pursuit of a better future for all.

Participants will become part of a global network of youth advocates and leaders, gaining practical experience in child rights, foresight research, and advocacy. They will also have the opportunity to contribute to global discussions on education and child rights, including events like the Leading Minds Conference. To support their contributions, fellows will receive a stipend during the fellowship period.

Applications for the UNICEF Youth Foresight Fellowship are open until January 5, 2025. This fellowship represents a unique opportunity for young changemakers to influence global education and child rights discussions, making a tangible impact on the future.
