Due to departmental movement, we are seeking a part-time Housekeeper to fill a vacancy at The State Hospital. You will play a crucial role in providing a wide range of domestic services, including general cleaning of wards and departments. This role demands high standards of cleanliness in compliance with NHS Scotland Cleaning Services Specifications and healthcare environmental standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning tasks in wards and other hospital departments.
- Ensure all areas meet the Facilities Monitoring Tool Targets and Healthcare Environmental Inspectorate Standards.
- Follow NHS Scotland Cleaning Services Specification for all cleaning activities.
- Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and responsibly.
- Maintain a high level of discretion, courtesy, and professionalism in all interactions.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- Essential Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated personality.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Education and Certification: No formal qualifications are required; however, previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
