The Carnegie Ethics Fellowship is a space for talented young professionals to develop their capabilities and be examples of values-driven responsible leadership. Fellows collaborate on projects curated by Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, giving them the opportunity to contribute to work that has deep connections to both New York and the broader world.
The two-year Fellowship is structured to develop the next generation of ethical leaders from business, government, academia, and non-governmental organizations. The Fellowship is part of Carnegie Council’s significant commitment to developing ethics in leadership and to the communities of experts that work toward this end, aligning the power of decision-making with reflective right action.
A distinctive feature of the Carnegie Ethics Fellowship is its focus on real-world impact. Fellows are encouraged to develop practical solutions to ethical challenges, whether through policy recommendations, public advocacy, or innovative projects. This emphasis on actionable outcomes ensures that the research conducted during the fellowship not only advances academic knowledge but also has a tangible influence on policy and practice.
The Carnegie Ethics Fellowship thus provides an opportunity for emerging leaders to refine their expertise in ethics and to shape the global conversations surrounding some of the most complex and critical issues of our time. By nurturing a network of ethical thinkers and practitioners, the program aims to create a community that can drive positive change in international affairs, fostering a more just, peaceful, and ethically conscious world.
