2025 Allan Gray Centre for Africa Entrepreneurship (AGCAE) PhD and Masters Scholarships.

The Allan Gray Centre for Africa Entrepreneurship is a prominent initiative aimed at nurturing and developing entrepreneurial talent across the African continent. Established through a partnership with Allan Gray, a leading investment management firm, the center focuses on fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among young Africans and empowering them to create sustainable businesses that can contribute to economic growth and job creation. By offering a range of programs, resources, and support, the center seeks to address the unique challenges faced by entrepreneurs in Africa and to promote innovation and economic resilience.

At the heart of the Allan Gray Centre’s mission is its commitment to education and mentorship. The center provides various programs, including fellowships, workshops, and training sessions designed to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the complexities of starting and running a business. Through partnerships with universities and other institutions, the center also facilitates access to a network of successful entrepreneurs, industry experts, and investors, allowing participants to gain valuable insights and build connections that can enhance their entrepreneurial journeys.

The Allan Gray Centre for Africa Entrepreneurship also emphasizes the importance of practical experience in the entrepreneurial journey. To this end, the center encourages students and aspiring entrepreneurs to engage in experiential learning opportunities, such as internships and real-world projects. These experiences allow participants to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, gain insights into market dynamics, and develop essential skills like problem-solving, leadership, and adaptability. By bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world application, the center aims to prepare entrepreneurs for the complexities of the business landscape in Africa.

In addition to its educational initiatives, the Allan Gray Centre actively engages in research and advocacy to promote policies that support entrepreneurship and innovation in Africa. By generating knowledge and insights on entrepreneurship trends and challenges, the center aims to influence policymakers and stakeholders to create an enabling environment for business growth. Ultimately, the Allan Gray Centre for Africa Entrepreneurship seeks to inspire a new generation of African entrepreneurs who are not only equipped with the tools for success but are also committed to making a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
