2025 University of Montreal UdeM Exemption Scholarship.

University of Montreal UdeM Exemption Scholarship is currently ongoing for interested international students to study in Canada. The University of Montreal UdeM Exemption Scholarship is designed to support international candidates in their university studies with an amount up to $21,593 per year.

Located in Québec, Canada’s largest province, Montréal is consistently ranked among the best student cities in the world (QS) and is one of the top destinations for international students.  In turn, these international students will help fulfil our educational mission by enriching the cultural diversity of the Université de Montréal community.

The UdeM Exemption Scholarship is specifically targeted at international students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and potential. By providing financial relief from the typically higher tuition fees charged to non-residents, the scholarship significantly reduces the financial burden on students, making it more feasible for them to study at the University of Montreal. This support is particularly valuable for students from lower-income backgrounds or those who might otherwise struggle to afford the cost of international tuition.

Eligibility for the UdeM Exemption Scholarship is based on several criteria, including academic excellence, leadership qualities, and the potential to contribute positively to the university community. Applicants are generally required to submit their academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, and sometimes a personal statement or essay outlining their achievements and aspirations. The selection process is highly competitive, reflecting the scholarship’s aim to support top-tier talent.

In addition to financial assistance, the UdeM Exemption Scholarship helps students integrate into the university community and take full advantage of the educational and extracurricular opportunities available. Recipients often have access to various support services, including academic advising, career counseling, and networking events. This comprehensive support system helps students succeed both academically and personally during their time at the university.

The University of Montreal is known for its commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, and the UdeM Exemption Scholarship is a key component of this commitment.
