Every year, Rotary International offers a prestigious opportunity through its Rotary Peace Centers program, awarding up to 130 fully funded fellowships to dedicated leaders worldwide. These fellowships provide recipients with the chance to study at one of Rotary’s renowned peace centers.
Through a combination of academic training, practical experience, and global networking opportunities, the Rotary Peace Centers program aims to cultivate the skills and capabilities of peace and development professionals, empowering them to become effective agents for peace in their communities and beyond. The fellowships cover all essential expenses, including tuition and fees, accommodation, travel costs, as well as internship and field-study expenses, ensuring that fellows can fully immerse themselves in their studies without financial burden.
Since its inception in 2002, the Rotary Peace Centers have successfully trained over 1,700 fellows, who are now making impactful contributions in more than 140 countries worldwide. These fellows hold positions of leadership in various sectors, including government, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), education, research institutions, peacekeeping, law enforcement agencies, and international organizations such as the United Nations and the World Bank.
The Rotary Peace Fellowship is specifically designed for leaders who possess relevant work experience in peace and development and are dedicated to community and international service, as well as the pursuit of peace. Each year, The Rotary Foundation offers up to 50 fellowships for master’s degree programs and up to 80 for certificate studies at prestigious universities.
